About the Event
Hey Canberra, come and Meet Jesus
Jesus is better. Better than your weekend plans, gracious beyond measure, and more beautiful than the view from Mount Ainslie. Jesus is someone that is worth meeting.
For summer 2024, Canberra gets to Meet Jesus. We want you to come and hear the good news about Jesus Christ, and how life in Jesus is better than anything this world can offer.
This unique Canberra wide event will include great music from the team at EMU music as well as testimonies and stories that will help you Meet Jesus.

Meet Jesus is an opportunity to hear how God’s saving plan for the world is for you, and everyone you know. Hear Jesus’ plan for the world, ask questions and take the next step towards life to the full.

Finding a church can be daunting but we’ll make it easy for you to connect with your local church. They are so keen to welcome you into their community.
Keynote speaker: Dave Jensen
By his own admission, Dave Jensen was a “scumbag”. Drinking, fighting and womanising, he had a tough reputation and he was proud of it.
That is until one morning, he woke up, hungover, and scrolled through his sister’s last watched YouTube videos. A sermon entitled “Don’t waste your life” helped Dave to realise that he was doing just that.
“I realised that no matter what I had done, no matter how far I had walked, no matter how much I’d rejected God, the cross of Christ was for me.”
That morning, Dave prayed for forgiveness and for the first time in his life, he genuinely felt free. Dave had met Jesus.
